Ava's AHA moment!

Ava just had an AHA! moment...She just said, "If I sell my stuff at the garage sale, I'm going to get all the money to by something for you (me)...two things for you...and one thing for me!" She's a smart little cookie!

Mother Hen

So Ava (aka Mother Hen) was at it again. Last week she went to the pool with a friend. On the way home, one of the kids was misbehaving, so the mom had to have a few words with her. When all was said and done, Ava said to her friend's mom, "It's embarrassing, isn't it?" The mother chuckled and agreed. On the same car ride, the mom overheard the girls discussing whether they were breast or bottle-fed! I wonder what they talk about when we're not around?!?

Although I call Ava Mother Hen, she is a BIG help around the house. She is ALWAYS willing to help me unload the dishwasher, set the table, make dinner, fold laundry, dust, vacuum, and help with her sisters. She especially loves sitting next to Delaney and helping her eat. She even gets her down from her high chair! She is a really good girl and I love her so much!

Cameron and Tracy met us at the pool today. I don't know what Cameron and Delaney are looking at in this picture, but they really did enjoy the water...really, they did :)

Fun at the Pool

Despite the 64 degree, partly cloudy day...the girls had fun at the water park. Ava would scurry out to the water in between clouds. Harper was staying warm IN the water and didn't want to leave. Delaney loved the water...I knew she would b/c she LOVES her bath. After Delaney's nap and playing in the sand, I decided it was time to go home...The warmth of the car felt nice! We'll see how long it takes for them to begin begging to go to the water park again...

Tub time

Hi, it's Ava and Harper. We had fun putting bubbles on our heads. It's silly - we have hats on and beards! We like to play mermaids in the tub. We sometimes wear our swimsuits. Delaney goes in the tub with us, too. We're going to the water park in Menomonie on Monday. We beg to go EVERY DAY!

FIRST or LAST day of summer???

I decided to take advantage of the girls' last day of daycare...Sooo I painted the computer room RED. I love it! Now the girls want their bathroom and rooms repainted...I don't think so...

Take me out to the ball game...

The girls had fun watching Uncle Chad play baseball (35 and older) in Menomonie last weekend. Until Jamie gets a health check, he gets the big NEGATIVE to play from me. Ava and Harper discovered they could get money for getting foul balls, and Delaney discovered the food at the ball field - freezies, puffed corn, and licorice!

These boots are made for walkin'

After 14 1/2 months of letting everyone do EVERYTHING for her, Delaney Rose has decided to FINALLY start walking! Yesterday she was taking about 3-4 steps, and today she was a pro...taking about 10 steps, clapping for herself, and sometimes getting back up and staggering more. Other times she would clap and figure out that she was still faster crawling or walking on her knees. I've been waiting for this day to come...although with the other two, we didn't have steps going to a basement or a deck (still without rails). I'm sure there will be many bumps, bruises, and rug burns to come...and I may just be there to catch it on the video camera. I'm still hopeful that I'll win a million dollars after submitting a video to America's Funniest Home Videos...Until then, I'll stick with my day job...Oh, that's right - only 2 more days until I'm off for the SUMMER!!!

Last day of school!

Today was Ava's last day of Pre-K! It was pajama day today, and they got to enjoy sundaes. Ava chose to bring cherries - I swear she could eat a whole jar! This is a picture of Ava and friends, Chrissa and Jensine. Ava is excited to be in Mrs. Bird's class with Chrissa and Mya in kindergarten. She's already telling Harper what to expect in Pre-K next year and what she'll be doing in kindergarten. Poor Harper will have me next door and a mother hen checking up on her next year!

It's about time...

Kodak gallery, facebook, myspace...I guess it's about time I become a blogger...... As I sit here and ponder what to write, I'm out of breath from Friday night dancing with my girls. The Olson girls crank up the sirius tunes on the TV and get down. And let me tell you - we Olson girls have got some moves! Ava does the spins, Harper the shoulder shake, Delaney the head bob, and me....well, I've got a mean Roger Rabbit, running man, AND Electric Slide. Ahhhhh, and now plays Hold On by Wilson Philips...Brings back memories. I better get these girls in bed.
